J.L. Møllers Model 56 Arm Chair
The J.L. Møllers Model 56 Side Chair was designed in 1954 by Niels Otto Moller. Since 1944, J. L. Moller has produced chairs of outstanding quality and timeless design. Moller chairs have become the epitome of Danish Design. Simplicity, quality of design, and skilled craftsmanship show through in the final product. Chairs from Moller are assembled using old craft traditions. Skilled craftsmen focus on fine details without an assembly line. Each employee is a specialist in a specific process for creating the chair, giving it a unique quality and elegance. The Moller 56 chair utilizes mortise and tenon joints, strengthening the construction. Every chair is polished by hand, ensuring the finest details are not overlooked.
J.L. Møllers is still a small family owned business and is now managed by Niels’ son, Jorgen Henrik Moller. J. L. Moller received the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981.
